Clock Repair Video: How to Oil an Antique Mantel Clock Movement

This video gives instructions on how to oil an American antique mantel clock movement. The movement in the video is an Ansonia but it will work for any American mantel clock movement like Seth Thomas or Waterbury. It’s a short and to the point video. It advises to put oil on the teeth of the escape wheel which some experts think is a mistake. I personally oiled the escape wheel of my E. Ingraham Gingerbread kitchen clock and have had no problems. Enjoy.
