Clock Repair Video: Ansonia time and strike repair for antique mantel clocks. I found this video on repairing Ansonia mantel clock movements. The video is posted in three parts. Ansonia clock company started in 1851 in Ansonia, Connecticut. The company moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1878. Thomas Edison actually visited the Ansonia factory to experiment with clocks to see if it was possible to combine them with his phonograph. It didn’t work out for Edison but he unknowingly came up with the idea of a clock radio.
